(Washington, DC)  --  The Department of Justice is facing tough criticism for allegedly seizing phone records from reporters.  The DOJ is accused of collecting data from from at least 20 phone lines over a two-month period in 2012.  The department issued a statement today saying it is "careful and deliberative" in the way it issues subpoenas, especially when dealing with issues surrounding freedom of the press.
