(Lorain County)-  The Elyria Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol identifies the victim as 44 year old David Makaryk of Columbia Station.

Mr. Makaryk died this morning around 8:40 when his Ford Fusion hit two utility poles on Route 252, between Sprague Road and Route 82.

Police say he was traveling at a high rate of speed, and following a Ford F-150 truck when the crash occurred.

The truck apparently did not stop.

Crews expect the road to be closed another three hours.

ODOT says northbound motorists can use State Route 82 north to Sprague Road west as an alternate.
