(Cleveland Heights) – Family, Friends, and customers are still grieving, but today the healing process took a big step forward, as the Colony Restaurant reopened for business.
The legendary Cedar-Lee area eatery closed after owner Jim Brennan was murdered during an attempted robbery on June 30th.
Today, Brennan’s Colony reopened with a Happy Hour. Even though only drinks were being served, customers arrived to show their support. On Friday, the kitchen will reopen with a limited menu.
The 61 year old Brennan was beloved by many in the neighborhood, and helped many inexperienced workers get their start in the restaurant business.
Four men are charged in Brennan’s death, and have pleaded not guilty to the crime.
