Channel your inner rock star, don your finest stage costume or rock attire and get ready to rock the Hall on Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum’s 15th Anniversary Celebration, Rock Hall Ball. This party of the year at the Museum will commemorate 15 years of memorable events, exhibits, education and programming. Live bands and DJs will perform throughout the night, including DJ Tommie Sunshine and alternative rock band Foxy Shazam. A special VIP pre-party will honor Ohio Senator George V. Voinovich for his efforts in bringing the Rock Hall to Cleveland and his continued support of the Museum. This evening is sponsored by KeyBank, Kia Motors and Ohio Natural Gas.

Rock Hall Ball guests will have the opportunity to choose between two different admission levels and party like a rock star through the night:
• Platinum Party ($55 member/$65 non-member): Doors open at 8:30 p.m. Party includes hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine until 12:30 a.m. and entertainment until 2 a.m.
• Vinyl Party ($15): Doors open at 10 p.m. Party includes cash bar and entertainment until 2 a.m.
Preceding the 8:30 p.m. Rock Hall Ball will be a VIP Reception to honor Senator George V. Voinovich upon his retirement from public office, for all he has done for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Northeast Ohio. Tickets start at $250 for the VIP Reception beginning at 6:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails and are invited to stay for the Rock Hall Ball. Exhibits will be open to tour during the event, including From Asbury Park to the Promised Land: The Life and Music of Bruce Springsteen, the world’s first major artifact-driven exhibit about Springsteen’s legendary career. Other special exhibits include Great Music. No Limits. Celebrating 35 Years of Austin City Limits and the Hall of Fame’s 2010 Inductees Exhibit.
Since the opening of the Museum on September 3, 1995, the Rock Hall has welcomed nearly eight million visitors from around the world. The Museum has been home to seven floors of exhibition space spanning 150,000 square feet, offering visitors a five to six hour touring experience of 18 permanent exhibits, six special rotating exhibits, six interactive listening stations and 125 minutes of film in five different theaters. The Rock Hall has also brought more than 1.5 billion dollars in economic impact to the Northeast Ohio economy in its 15 year history. The Museum’s award-winning education department reaches more than 50,000 students and educators each year through its education programs on site, like Rock and Roll Night School and Rockin’ the Schools, and at great distances through its distance learning program, On the Road. More than 100 artists and musicians come to the Hall each year to be part of education panel discussions, perform, meet with fans and show their support.
